Our Philosophy
Improving capacity building in public policy and government affairs areas is beyond policy advocacy, it is a long term knowledge investment to engineer field experiences, personal skills, education background, working networks, and life wisdom.
In providing the capacity building programs, we stand on a solid perspective written by Charles S. Mack in his book ‘Business, Politics, and the Practice of Government Relations’ (1997) that government relations performs three functions essential to the proper functioning of government and democracy; (1) Providing means for the resolutions of conflicts, essential to the perpetuation of a democratic and mutually tolerant society, (2) Funneling important information, analysis, and opinion to government leaders to facilitate informed and balanced decision making, and (3) Creating a system of checks and balances comparable to that within our government, by which competition among interest groups keeps any one of them from attaining permanent power.
